I wanted to make drop down menus for my site, but it seems i have only been able to make a mouse over graphic, please advise on how do I continue my search for the makings of what I need as a popup menu or drop down menu

That’s beyond IR’s capabilities.

By far the easiest way is to get GoLive and a copy of the MenuMachine add-on for GoLive

The ability to create drop down heirarchial menus is one of the advantages that Fireworks still has over ImageReady.
