Thanks for the heads up– I’ll wait for the Tryout, though. It says:

"Adobe Offers Complete Line of Products for Every Level…"

As long as you have an SSE2 capable processor, that is.

Nope, I guess that’s Premiere Elements.
I knew I had something refuse to install once…

I’ve written a summary review of this new version, based on what Adobe have put up on their site.

It cuts out all the bulk and sales garb, making it rather more concise than the official website, and pulls all the important info together onto one page.

There’s also a really good demonstration video there, which shows some of the new features in action.

Thanks for that, Robert. V. Helpful.

I guess it’s time to move my Elements (1) to an XP m/c and upgrade!

Haha, yeah. We all have to get round to it sometime. It’s just one of those jobs that you keep putting off though isn’t it, especially if you’ve got loads of little programs and extras that you’ll have to find again.

If you’re still using Elements 1, I’d certainly recommend a later version. If 5 doesn’t look like your cup of tea, pick up a copy of 3 of eBay for £10 or so. It’ll compliment XP nicely, and if you use it often you’ll certainly appreciate the difference.

Good luck with the upgrade! 😉

Thanks Robert – I have been following the progress of different versions. I was about to buy ver 4. – but Curves that’s makes it worth while! I used an early DOS based photo software (can’t remember what) that had curves. Very useful.
