I was given some ImageReady files from another web author. When I open them I get the following error:
"ImageReady-specific data could not be read. The tile buffer is in a format that this version of ImageReady does not understand."
When I hit OK it opens but is missing the slices and many layer styles are wrong.
The error implies that it is an ImageReady version problem. I tried opening the same file in IR7.1 and it opens fine. I can make it work but it begs a huge question:
Why can’t IRCS open some IR7 files? I’d like to eventually get rid of my IR7 installation, but am I going to need to keep each successive version on my HD?
