The other day I had to create a clipping path around a black suitcase that had been photographed with a dark shadow along the bottom edge and I could not see the edge of the suitcase. In the past have used various means to be able to distinguish the shape of an object but the other day I just duped the background layer, used the shadow/ highlight adjustment on the dupe layer was able to clearly see the edge of the suitcase, finish the clipping path, deleted the dupe layer and saved the eps file.
