I am building my first computer specifically for Photoshop CS. I will be working with 250mb digital photo files. Here are the basic components that I’m considering. I’m not an expert regarding computers, but I have spent a considerable amount of time researching components. I would appreciate specific advice, especially regarding any flaws in my proposed system or suggestions for improvement. Motherboard: Abit IC7-MAX3. CPU: Intel 3.0 ghz 800 FSB (Prescott). RAM: Corsair TwinX 2048-3200 (2Gb PC-3200 not-EEC; 2 1GB sticks). Video Card: Matrox Millenium P650. Hard Drives: 2 Seagate 160 Gb SATA 7200 RPM. Misc: 2 monitors, DVD writer and ROM, Windows XP Pro, etc. All advice will be greatly apreciated.
