Opening NEF or DSC Raw files in ACR 2.2….once I’ve made changes in the raw converter and opened the file in CS, I want to uprez before saving as tif image. Do I want to make further color correctionchanges to the image and THEN uprez, or uprez first….

It seems that it would be faster to keep the native resolution, apply adjustment layers, flatten the image and then uprez…but maybe there’s a downaside to this workflow.

Any thought out there?

Thanks…

I tend to upres last, for two reasons:

1) I keep the layered PSD file and I have no false idea of its quality when I retrieve it from my archives in a year or two

2) Any gaps in the histogram that may occur (I’m assuming you’re working in 8-bit here) may get reduced by the bicubic algorithm.
