In the info palette, you can set the color values to display "Total ink". Black = 300% White = 0%.
What does the "Total ink" setting mean?

Thanks in advance.

When you print you don’t want too much ink to be put onto the paper because it can smear and cause other problems. The allowable total ink will vary from printer to printer and with paper quality and such. There’s info on this on the web or talk to your printer.
