My office is looking to buy all flat panels for our next round of monitor purchases. Desktop space is in short supply and small monitor footprints would be a real advantage for us. I work for an architectural firm that uses AutoCAD, Photoshop and some 3D building modeling software. What are the good things to look for in a flat panel. I use to think response time was important…but am learning that it’s only gamers that need that and for our apps a low response time would probably lead to a deficiency in other areas of the monitor. And then I started hearing about MVA, IPS and TN technology and that IPS is a lot better. I can’t even find what type of technology is used for most monitors.
So I’m looking for advice from photo editors. Do you have a monitor that works well for you. Do you know of a good web site that discusses good monitors for those in the graphic industry.
Thanks
