I’ve never used a tablet before, but I know lots of people love the Wacoms. But from what I’ve read, they don’t work the way I’d want a tablet to work…?
What I want is a tablet that when you have the pen lightly down on the surface, it moves the mouse cursor around. Then when you want to draw, you press down on the nib (also pressure sensitive.)
Is this not how they work? If not, are there other tablets that do work like that?
What I need is a 4×5 USB tablet that’s sturdy and will work fine with XP and PS 6.0 but doesn’t have any extra features, software, etc. I need to find "good, basic, and as cheap as possible." Oh, yeah, and no wireless pens with big batteries. I’m not adverse to buying used/refurb.
BTW, I was eyeballing an Aiptek 8000U ($50 refurb,) but reviews say it’s cheesy and the drivers suck. I could get a Graphire3 4×5 refurb for $80, but I can’t afford that right now… π
Thanks for any help!
