Ever since I got Adobe Photoshop 7 and make images in that program, I can never save images a gifs. All the black in the image appears as white. Which is not very attractive. This never happened before. So it has be Photoshop. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Thank you.

Oddly enough, I don’t have any trouble saving as a gif. However, I do see some problems. The gif is bigger than the jpg, but the jpg looks better. The gif images have all sorts of specles in them that the jpgs do not have. Jpgs do have more colors.

Use the save for web option rather than save, and all should be okay.

The "speckles" are the effects of dithering. Interesting reading.
