I have to scan and file about 500 old 35mm slides that are dirty and greacey etc.

Does anyone know what is the best cleaning fluid, and the best way to clean, a 35mm slide before scanning?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Kodak Film Cleaner, applied very carefully. Nothing stronger.

Blow off any loose dust with a can of compressed air, then use PEC-12 on a cotton ball to remove dirt and grease. I would also remove them from the old mounts, clean and remount, but that might be a bit much for 500.
