Hello. I’m new here, so be kind. Also, if this is the wrong Photoshop newsgroup, can you tell me which ones aren’t.

I use PS 6.0, and until a month ago I used it with Windows 98. But when I switched to Windows XP a problem arose, and I have no idea what to do about it. The problem is that when I drag, say, a corner of a window containing an image to make it larger, the cursor and the ever-growing sides of the window disappear! I can’t tell where the cursor is or how big the window is getting till I release the mouse and see the new size. As another example, when I use a brush to clone stamp, I can’t see the cursor at all.

I think maybe Win XP has changed the default appearance of something or other, maybe the cursor, maybe the background; I don’t know.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
