Greetings. Soap bubbles change their appearance much the way mirrors do – what you see when looking at a mirror very much depends on
what the mirror sees (so to speak). In other words, it all depends on what is in the ambient.
My suggestion would be for you to get yourself a bubble-blowing kit, and photograph a bunch of real bubbles. I would do this under
varying light conditions – especially under "light box" conditions (outdoors – under overcast sky). Then, I would study these
bubbles to see what makes them "tick".
It seems likely, that you will be able to make some tracings and that these will scale well and that may be all you need to get you
started.
