Save Command does not work in Photoshop 7.0

Save command and "save as" is not working. It worked for a year and now has stopped. using Windows XP. Rebooting usually clears the problem for a very short time but causes results in loss of data. The only way I can currently save any file is in the psd format. Getting desperate for a solution. Thanks for any help.

Try trashing your prefs. Details in the FAQs.

Also, make sure you’re patched to 7.0.1.

If I delete or modify the prefs file, will this ruin my customized ICC monitor profiles that I created in Adobe Gamma? Thanks,
