best advice I can give is to ask the print shop that will make it to provide one

if you are printing it yourself
you may be able to download one from a print shop website

Hmm, not to put too fine a point on it, but shouldn’t this kind of thing be within the skills of even a relative newbie to Photoshop? I mean, a doorhanger? A template is required for that?

Now that I think of it, if they come in common stock sizes like business cards and postcards do, I suppose having a correctly-sized template would be beneficial.

Anyway, a quick Google on "doorhanger" turns up innumerable service bureaus ready to print them for you, all of which (that I looked at) also provide templates. Try this one to start http://www.doorhangers.com/.
