Roll prints on an Epson R1800 from OS X

Has anyone managed to get panoramic prints longer than about 42cm (16.5"; the long side of A3) on roll paper on an Epson R1800 using PS CS3 on OS X 10.4.10 (PPC)? If so, how, please?

Or would I have to install something like QImage in VirtualPC?
