I have a few images in a directory that need processing for a web site.

I normally use the save for web function.

Is there anyway to automate this function so I can process them all.

Using the "actions" functions once recorded, the save for web function only appears as "export" and
wont work if I use the function with Automate->Batch.

in your action menu, click the little arrow at the top right and choose "insert menu item",
then select "save for web"…

is this what you are trying to do?

Thanks this is the right option and everything works except the resize option in the save for web isnt remembered.
If I manually use the resize to 85% the file size grows x 3.

Maybe it’s something to do with the way Imageready resizes in that menu or somthing else as its always smaller.

not sure what you mean here… but you can record just one step that does the 85% resize.
BUT make sure you are watching the resolution setting, too – that could be throwing you off.
