picture icons

at one time, jpegs and psds came up as little pictures. now all i get is windows type icons for the images. It seems like i figured it out at one time or another Does anybody know how?

Well, I came from plain DOS so as one time I didn’t see any icon nor thumbnails, then later I found out Viewing "thumbnails" will display little thumnails (pictures) and it works with all Windows applications.

PSD files don’t show a thumbnail on my XP machine.
