When increasing the size of the canvas of an existing image, how do I set it so that the image stays in a certain position after the new space has been added aroung the image?

How do you want to increase the size, exingo? At the top, at the bottom, sides?

In the canvas size dialog box, there is an array of nine squares which you may use to indicate where to add or remove canvas.
