I’m running Photoshop 6.0 on Windows XP and I can’t seem to find any tutorials on optimizing images for the web (for 6.0). Can someone point me in the right direction?

Basics:

Make them the pixel size you want to display on web, then use Save For Web.
Adjust compression level (quality) until you get file size/visual quality level tradeoff you want. Compare your image in the orginal and optimized windows. Or preview with broswer with browser link at bottom.

JPEG for photographic type images.
(Internet Explorer doesn’t support Interlaced.)

More specific questions, you can ask here, folks will help.
