Shifting RGB layers seperately

I have some images that were apparently scanned using an out of alignment scanner. So, the reds are shifted maybe two pixels to the left and the blues 1 to the right.

If there a straightforward way in PS to seperate the RGB pixels into seperate layers and manually adjust them til they line up? Sub-pixel accuracy is not required. Thanks!

they are conveniently separated already in the CHANNELS palette You should be able to shift each channel using the move tool for subtle adjusting use the arrow keys
make sure you are not in indexed mode
you need an image in RGB, or CMYK mode
