speaking personally I’d rather stare at LCD any day than CRT whatever the spec

it just seems better and less tiring

FWIW I opt for widescreen – it seems to accommodate right hand margin functions and running 2 programs side by side

my tuppen’orth

My 17-inch MAG is starting to stutter and blink and I figure it’s time to think about an LCD screen.
I do mostly 2D painter-style illustration in Photoshop and Painter, and stare at my screen many hours a day.
Can any of you give me some advice in terms of:

–Is an LCD screen a good idea at all?
–If ao what make and model do you recommend?
–any particular tips or warnings?

It depends. Do you need accurate colour? Do you do prepress work?

Yes, sure I need accurate color– not pre-press, I do illustration, and much more for print than web.
So what’s your advice?
