I know this was answered recently, but I have forgotten again. How do I insert the copyright symbol into a title?

The user guide does not appear to know that titles exist!

If you are on a PC
put the shortcut to character map on your task bar (you may need your windows cd to install it first)
if it is installed it will be under start.programs.system tools

you can copy and paste them
or see the codes to type them
alt 0169 (use NUM PAD ONLY)

bullets are becoming mine too.

Here’s some others (but the character must be available in the font):

® Alt 0174 ®
™ ALT 0153 ™

or try this list:

When you say title, do you mean the name at the top of the window when the image is open?

Go to File>File Info<Description and in the Copyright Status dropdown select Copyrighted.

Thank you. I thought I had tried this, but I always use ctrl-insert (copy) and shift-insert (paste), and for some reason in Photoshop this does not work inside titles, although it does work for copying and pasting selections. Copy and paste from Edit do work.

I remembered everything but the NUM PAD ONLY bit. 🙁

And thanks to everyone who answered.

(And, in answer to edjh’s question, I am putting the copyright symbol on the back of a Christmas card.)
