the answer is no
In article <8PaQc.323$ says…I’m sure if they could they would. In the Mac version the color changes to contrast with whatever background the path is on. Chris Cox has said that it’s a limitation of the Windows OS that makes this unattainable.

Yes, this has been on many a wishlist since at least PS 5. There was talk about it being added in 6, but obviously, nothing has come of it yet. Adobe does maintain a wishlist, and it might be wise to add more requests. I’ve so for this feature, as well as color change for cursors.
