I just installed Photoshop CS on my Windows 2000 XP computer. The video training showed the icon you can click on to automatically bring up the file browser. This icon doesn’t show up in my options bar. How can I place it there?

What screen rez are you running at? CS requires a minimum of 1024 x 768

800×600. When I changed it to 1024×768 the work areas got very small.

Carmen,

If you want to run CS, then you NEED 1024 x 768 min

Well as Len has already pointed out, 1024×768 is the MINIMUM resolution for Photoshop. There’s no workaround for it.

Thank you for the responses. I guess I’ll just have to live with opening the file browser the "old fashioned" way. I can’t switch to the larger rez if the work area is smaller.

The work areas is not smaller with a higher resolution.

Mine is for some reason.

Then there’s something wrong. Think about it. How could adding more resolution make the area smaller.

Icons and fonts will be smaller but the work area has to larger.

I’ve got it all fixed now. Changed the resolution and monitor settings. The browser icon now shows up. Thank you.
