Assuming inkjet prints are mounted under, but not touching, glass. Is there any difference in print image quality when using matt or glossy finish photo paper?

Usually, there is less ink spread with glossy stock v any textured finish.

I only use matte papers and under glass thay have a little sheen. I don’t like the specular effects you get with glossy under glass. Just a personal preference.

While the differences are minimized under glass, the glossier surfaces tend to have richer blacks. Personally I split the difference and use a luster surface. This looks pretty good mounted and unmounted.

Matte prints do not have reflections that other texture prints have. Even under reflective glass, you can see a difference.
