I eventually cracked and downloaded my trial verion of CS. I uploaded some jpegs to Dreamweaver – and Dreamweaver wouldn’t recognise them.
So after much cursing of Adobe, battering of computer with chair leg etc I discovered this snippet in the PS help file
‘Some applications may not be able to read a CMYK file saved in JPEG format.’
I never knew that – I always thought all jpegs were the same ?????
