photoshop 5.5 upgrade on winxp

I have photoshop 4.0 and want to upgrade to 5.5, my OS is winxp.

Is there a fix so 5.5 can work on winxp?

Who said it wouldn’t and what do you mean upgrade to 5.5? Are you aware that PS is now up to version 8.0?
