Is there a way to get rid of the selection tool lines or the marquee tool lines without saving the project? That’s what I have been doing when I’m finished working in the selected area. Thanks
If you wish to Deselect an active Selection, the Ctrl-D will Deselect it, while (stated elsewhere) Ctrl-H will "hide" it, though it is still active. Warning, with Selection hidden, you can only effect changes within that Selection and it is very easy to forget that there is a hidden active Selection. If you have already Saved the Selection, it will appear as an Alpha Channel. You can select it (make it active) and click the trashcan symbol, or drag the selected Channel to the trashcan. If you then did not re-Save the image, the Alpha Channel would be there, when you Open(ed) the image. Does this help?
