Having just got through a hard disk failure by the skin of my teeth (yes I know I should have backed up), I am conscious that it’s not a good idea to keep all my PhotoShop images on the c: drive. I intend to burn them on to CDRs, which is no problem. However I am wondering how best to catalogue and access the stored images, which number about 3 thousand at present.
I have looked at a few photo-organiser type programs, but they don’t seem able to cope with images on removeable media. I need some means of recording the location of each file, which will tell me the right disk to insert for any given image file. Can anyone suggest a suitable program, with a few basic filtering facilities such as keywords? Freeware/shareware would be nice, but I will consider spending money in moderation if necessary!
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
