Can anyone please help me.
I have been trying to to make a chrome effect in Photoshop 7.0 for a logo.

I follow a tutorial to do this, and the tutorial says to rasterize the text layer, It shows me where to go to do this.

Although when I try this, for some reason It wont let me.

This the part I get up to:

"1. Create a new image 400×400 with a “transparent” background. Rename this layer “back”

2. Go Edit > Fill and choose “black”

3. Write some large text in white. For this tutorial, I wrote “N-sane” in 80 pt with the font Impact.""

I am fine up to here and then the Tutorial goes on to say:

"Go Layer > Rasterize > Type to the layer with the text on it. Rename the layer “Text”"

for some reason Photoshop wont let me do this. It won’t let me select rasterize from the layer menu.

What am I doing wrong?

Try right-clicking on the type layer in the layers palette.

Just at thought: Is it possible that you are not on your text layer when you’re trying this?

Do you, perhaps, have the text selected, or are you editing the text when this happens?
