I have a file containing 40+ layers. Each layer contains only text. I want to apply font changes to all the layers simultaneously. I can’t seem to select all layers at once, thus can not apply the changes. I believe you can do this in 8.0, but I’m using photoshop 7.0 and an upgrade is out of the question at the moment. Any ideas?

cheers

Link the layers and hold the shift key as you use the character palette. It works in 6 so it must work in 7.

No probs. I don’t use text very often but I knew I had done this before with 6 so I had to figure it out. I re-learned something I’d forgotten by answering this. Mutual benefit.

This trick works for most font settings. It’s also recorded in an action that way (linked vs. single). It works for color as well, but the color will preview on only one type layer before being applied to the rest.

I was also trying this for the past three years but now I got this.

Thank you very much.
