I have several plug ins for PS, but none of them do anything you cannot do in Photoshop. So why do I have them? Because they save time. However, there’s only one I wouldn’t be without and that’s Andromeda’s LensDoc. Again, you can do exactly what it does in PS, but LensDoc saves a lot of effort. When y7ou can charge for the time it takes to do something in Photoshop, but do it much more quickly with a plug in…

Did *I* say that? … 😉

As for URL’s – use Google like everyone else. 🙂

If you use any clip art in windows, a good plugin to have is the one that will open wmf directly from Photoshop. A lot of clip art for windows is sold in wmf only and it really speeds up the process. You can get the plugin from my personal site

despite the erroneous contention that Photoshop can do anything that any plug-in can do, I’ve got some specific examples that can only be created within the Kai’s Power Tools (KPT) filters, such as KPT 3 Gradient Designer (a filter nearly a decade old) used with layers bin – an undocumented feature that can be accessed by inputing "command L" within the filter. The gradient can follow the shape of a selection and can be overlayed with multiple gradients in various apply modes without leaving the filter.

Caveat – don’t expect that by getting the KPT filters that you’ll necessarily be able to duplicate what I’ve created – but you shouldn’t want to anyway. They’re made for exploring and for you customize the filtration to the nuances achieved through – for example – gaussian blurs and apply modes (to name just a couple of factors). Use them as a visual synthesizer. Don’t be dissuaded by those who don’t use plug-ins. That’s their opinions and probably not based on empirical data.
