Ok, I give up. On both PS6 and nowCS, I cannot get the system to accept the saved Settings folder. It simply reverts to default, and I have to spend 1/2 hr or more to reset everything.
I don’t get it! 🙁
Here’s where I find the file:
C:\Documents and Settings\Lawrence Hudetz\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\8.0\Adobe Photoshop CS Settings
I copy that folder to My Documents, after setting my personal prefs, and when the time comes (just did) I copy it back to that location. It asks me if I want to change certain things I say "Yes to all" and nothing changes. Even my workspace is not restored.
Arrragh! 3 f**kn’ years I cannot make it work!
