The new Canon 5d just hit the stores.

Is there a usual lag for an update to the
raw converter? Would it be weeks, months?

Or completely random.

Apparently, although Adobe has not officially stated it, ACR already works according to this forum:

"As I had Bridge open I double clicked on the raw without thinking and it just processed the file fine. I have installed the latest raw plug in from Adobe and it does not say it suports the 5D but it does."
