1) When you Resize the Canvas Size of a JPEG to a larger value in
Photoshop Elements and Save (or Save As) the resulting file without doing anything further, the image size for the file is now the same as the new enlarged canvas size, right? — is that correct?
(Putting this another way, does the file retain _any_ memory of the earlier, smaller image size?)
2) Since the added pixels initially all have the same value, the compressed file size may increase somewhat but should not increase proportionally when you do this — right?
3) Is there any way to do the above without suffering _any_ degradation of the original image due to image re-compression during the Save operation?
