UV large format printer on acrylic

I am printing on acrylic and applying a vinyl backer. The problem I am having is the vinyl can be easily peeled away, taking the ink with it. Are there any bonding agents for acrylics that can help UV ink adhere more to acrylics without adhering to the vinyl?
