How large is your VM swapfile? Did you put the swapfile on a separate partition?

No I only have one partition. I don’t know how large it is. How do you tell?

How do you tell?

Control Panel>System applet> Performance Tab> Virtual Memory

Tells you if A) you are letting Windows manage your swapfile (recommended) and B) what size it is.

Bill,

Do you have plenty of free disk space?
Have you tried deleting the Prefs file?
