Nikon capture vs Photoshop CS NEF applet

I’ve found posts here about Nikon capture, but none that actually compare it to the PS CS NEF applet. I have both so can explore this myself, but it would be useful to hear from those who have already compared the two and can comment on the comparison. My NEF files come from a Nikon D100 camera. Thanks.

I get better colour from ACR than NC, but that is with tweaking of hue/sat for R,G,B. The only thing missing from ACR that NC has is saving NEFs with changes (only possible in NC) and camera control from laptop. (and loading custom curves, which I wouldn’t recommend anyway)
