I am looking for a Photoshop 7.0 filter similar to Lens Flare, that can add a small twinkle of light, preferably with some little visual refractions or something. 🙂 Something like a little bright LED, or a twinkling star….

A free download is preferable, but any links would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

This might get you started. <http://www.webclipart.com/sparky.html> You would have to add more details of course.

There is also the method of running the "lens flare" filter on a new layer that has been filled with black. Set that layers blend mode to "screen", and then just transform the size down until it is small enough for you to use as your sparkle.

A word of warning: be VERY wary of overusing Lens flare, as it is one of the more noticible Photoshop filters.

Thanks, I like the Screen tip… and I will heed the warning.

Also, don’t overlook the cross-screen brushes in the Assorted Brushes
