I don’t own Adobe PhotoShop yet and understand that many textile artists use it to help them in the design process. What I’d like to know about it is if one can open a picture of something and then superimpose a grid or graphpaper lines (scaleable/adjustable) on top of the picture to assist in mapping the picture out. I don’t want pixel sized grids…something like 30 or 45 boxes of the grid per inch would be ample.

you can use a grid or guides or even create slices to divide any image into designated dimensions. Monte Krause, Art & Design, >

Would one of you mind sending me a picture/photo with the grid superimposed on it so I can see what it looks like? Thanks, Iris

The grid looks like a sheet of graph paper. large grids subdivided into smaller boxes. all sizes are customizable as well as how many. you can also change the colors to any color you want.
