hey
I’m having a difficult time ripping a multi-page Quark file into PDF with spreads. It’s quite weird. The Quark file is built letter size pages, built two-per-spread, not facing, same thing everybody does I guess.
the first two pages of the Quark document, the page itself is portrait oriented, but the text and pictures are set in and rotated to landscape orientation (so they appear sideways on a portrait orented page). when i try to rip using any kind of driver, i get odd results in the final pdf. When I rip the pdf, these two pages seem to confuse the hell out of the distiller; they come out as a single 11×17, protrait oriented, the two pages stacked on top of each other, with lots of the text clipped off. The third and fourth page come out correct as a spread but text is clipped off.
Any suggestions? I’m still using acrobat 3. Were these the kinds of problems you were having?
