I have several hundred fonts installed on my computer. It can be a nightmare browsing through them on screen to find a suitable one. Does anyone know any program that would allow a sentence to be printed for all my fonts, a sort of catalogue so I can have a look through my fonts away from the screen?

Im running Windows XP.

Cheers
Kevin

IN PS highlight the text, hit ctrl h to hide the high light and select a font, then another…

Personally, I like "The Font Thing"as a browser. Do a Google search, I belive it’s free. I print out most of my fonts from file and put them in a three ring punch book for reference. More than once I’ve had a customer more interested in my font samples than my graphic samples. Go figure!

If you’ve already got Microsoft Word loaded on your PC, try downloading the free font macro from PC World Magazine. It works with Word 2003. Since the file is from April of 2001, I’m sure the macro works with Word ’97 on.

I found an older version of Fontlister.
This lets you view TTF and PS.
The fonts don’t have to be installed to be visible!
You can type your own sample text.
