Matrox G450 — two monitors

I just noticed that if the Windows XP screensaver starts when CS is open, my custom workspace is lost. I can go to Window>Workspace and select my saved workspace to reset the palettes, etc. When the screensaver starts, all palettes and the option bar that were on the second monitor are moved to the main monitor while the screensaver is active.

It doesn’t matter whether CS is minimized, maximized or the focus window. In all cases, the palettes move to the main monitor when the screensaver activates. This isn’t a major problem, but a minor annoyance that PS 7 didn’t do.

Has anyone else noticed this?

John

Sounds like a bad third party screensaver (it is changing the display resolution).

Thank you, Chris! What would we do without you?

The culprit was the Windows XP 3D Flying Objects screen saver.
