I’m trying to create some rollover text on two different buttons (see example: http://www.alcoholismcouncil.org:8080/acca/main.nsf – refer to left navigation buttons…Events/Training & Resources)

As you can see on these two buttons, as I mouse over the images the text is off centered. What should I do to ensure the image is centered on each image?

FYI…I’m using Photoshop 7.0

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Julio

I found the answer and wanted to share it for some other Photoshop Newbies . .. .

To center a layer while copying it to another document, drag from the layers palette to the other document, but hold the Shift key down while releasing the mouse button. If both documents have identical dimensions, instead of centering, the copied layer will be placed in the exact same position.

Easy enough to drag out a text bounding box with the text tool and set the text alignment to center.
