I am trying to resize layers on a canvas. Is this at all possible? I have a new image and I pasted another image to that canvas, it was too big when I pasted it but I can’t seem to resize it. I can resixe the original image before pasting it to the new window but that is a pain and also reduces quality. Isn’t there a way to drag and resize the individual layers while in the canvas?

Please advise.

I use the scale function after pasting something, works in a pinch bu not all that great if you’re trying to do something down the pixel Otherwise I do it the other way before pasting. It wont change th quality any differently than if you were able to resize within th layer

yes. use the free transform tool…select the layer in the layers palette and then push ctr+T to use free transform…pick a corner and drag to resize…holding down shift will of course constrain the proportions for you, holding alt will resize keeping the center in position, ctrl dragging will skew the corner…good luck
