colour correction on part of an image

When using curves or levels to correct colour casts, it adjusts the whole image. What would be a way to adjust just part of an image? Say, some blue cast from a window hitting a yellow wall, and you want the wall to be a constant colour, without making any changes to other blues in the picture. Would you have to make selections with feathering, then adjust the curves etc?

Yes, make a feathered selection around the area and then adjust. Or duplicate the layer and make a layer mask from the selection and adjust that layer.
