1. How can I duplicate a selection marquee? Not the selection contents, just
the marquee. Example: I want to select several objects with identical selections, but want to do different things with each selection.

If you know the size you want enter it in Fixed Size on the Options Bar and holding down Shift you can drag out as many identical marquees as you want.

Alternatively, make a channel out of the marquee and move it away from the original selected area and using Shift and Ctrl click to make new marquees.

In Photoshop CS (and I assume it would be the same in version 7), you have to have the 2nd image open (that you also want to apply the selection to) at the same time as the one you have created the selection in. Simply click on Select>Save Selection and give it a name. Make the 2nd image active and click Select>Load Selection. The name you chose will appear by default, click ok and the selection is now sitting on your new image. Please note that both images naturally have to be the same dimensions or PS would not know where to place the selection. You can open as many images as you like and repeat the Save procedure for each image. Then load the selection in each image as you need to. Hope this helps, Brian

Oops, I misread your question for a moment there and answered in haste. My response was telling you how to apply a selection marquee from one image to another image.
Maybe you will need to do that one day also? All the best, Brian "edjh" wrote in message

1. Make the first selection and choose ‘Save Selection’.
2. Place the cursor inside the selection. Now you can move the original
selection to the place where you want the second selection.
3. Choose ‘Load Selection’ and choose the channel you just saved. Make
sure to check ‘Add to selection’ in the dialog box.

Brian,

That works very well and is easy too. Thank you.
