I had a plane solid image of a triangle that I wanted to make into a triangle with a triangular center punched out (ending up with an image that looked like a 50 inch triangle made up of 2 inch wide tape, ie. a triangle open in the middle). I used the Photoshop feature that allowed me to punch out an image on the layer below with an image on the layer above all the way to the background.
I am left with the punched out piece floating around that I can’t easily get rid of (but it becomes transparent if left in place, so thats what I did) and the punched out area still looking like it is "selected" (dancing outline outlining it).
One, how can I turn this off. I have pressed enter (trying to "confirm" it, double clicked, etc.)
Two, how can I get rid of the punched out piece. Pressing delete does not do it and I am afraid to try other things right now since I can use what I have. I just don’t like to leave this operation "half done".
