Photoshop CS won’t open file. Plz help ASAP

Ok. About 10 mins ago, i just reinstalled Photoshop CS and ImageReady CS because it kept crashing and what not. Once it was done installing and activated and everything, i started it up. I’ve been working on this image for awhile and i tryed to open it. And it keeps telling me taht "the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop." I had it open in my first installation of Photoshop CS. Why doesn’t this work now? Im pretty sure i turned on Maximum Compatibility. If that means anything.

Will it open in Image Ready? Every once in a while IR will open files that Photoshop will not.

but thats not the point, the point is. Why can’t i use Photoshop CS on this file that on the first installation, i could just fine?
